The University of Arizona Geographic Information Systems Technology (GIST) integrates GIScience, cutting-edge GISystems, and geospatial technology, with management skills for use in government, corporate, non-profit, and academic settings.
We currently offer 2 graduate options in GIST:
- Masters of Science in GIST (MSGIST) – instructor led in person or online offering
- Professional GIST Graduate Certificate (PGIST) – online offering
This comprehensive program is designed to meet the important educational needs of working professionals seeking to improve their career standing as well as recent graduates seeking employment in the high-growth geospatial industries.
- Is intended for students with either extensive or limited experience in GIST.
- Meets in the evenings (Monday-Thursday) or online
- Does not require a master's thesis or Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
- Can be obtained in three semesters
