University of Arizona's GIS Career Day

This is an annual event, sponsored by the MS-GIST program, that is held in the spring and focuses on GIS careers, technologies, and education. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a high growth industry that is ubiquitous and diverse. A GIS Analyst I annual rate of pay in the U.S. is $40,000$67,000 and Money Magazine recently placed a GIS Analyst I as the 5th least stressful job in America. Come learn about GIS careers and educational opportunities from practitioners working in the public, private, and academic fields. Learn how a variety of organizations use GIS and what practitioners perceive are the desired qualifications to begin your career in the geospatial industry.  Meet with people individually about how to begin or advance your GIS career and what it take to get hired in this rapidly changing field.  This is a forum to learning and advancing knowledge about GIS amongst peers, colleagues, and newcomers.
