What does a tenth generation New Englander learn in living for twenty-two years in the Sonoran Desert? Poet and essayist Alison Hawthorne Deming will track her prints in the sand to explore how the meaning of seasons, tribes, borders, water, trees and the technological sublime have fared in her apprenticeship to arid lands.
