Congratulations to SGD PhD student, Lily House-Peters, who has won second place in the Central Arizona Project's Award for Research competition for her paper Developing an Updated Multi-temporal Landcover Classification to Assess Riparian Conservation and Inform Decision-Making in the Upper San Pedro Watershed: A Classification and Regression Tree (CART) Model Approach.
This is a state-wide paper competition. The award includes a $500 check plus travel funding to present her paper at the Arizona Hydrological Society meeting this fall. Her paper will be published online at the CAP Award for Research website (http://www.cap-az.com/education/award-for-research). Big congrats to Lily!
