SGDE alum Padmendra Shrestha accepts tenure-track position in Geography & Environmental Sustainability at SUNY Oneonta

Those who've been around for a little while will remember Padmendra - he started in SGDE in Fall 2019, right before covid, working with Chris Scott on hydropower and energy policy in Nepal. Andrea Gerlak and I were on his committee too, and so was Carl Bauer for a bit, and Padmendra completed his PhD in May 2025, when he accepted a visiting lecturer position at Oneonta. This year he had to compete for the perm position, and it is wonderful to hear that he was able to get it.
