Abdulfetah Sigal completed the MDP in May 2020. At UA he was a Peace Corps Coverdell Fellow, having served from 2013 to 2015 as a grassroots agriculture and small business volunteer with the Peace Corps in Ghana. Subsequently, still as a US Peace Corps Volunteer, he worked as part of the agriculture and livelihoods team of the USAID-RING (Resiliency in Northern Ghana) project in Northern Ghana. He previously completed a bachelor's in managerial economics from the University of California-Davis.
Abdul's primary areas of focus are food security, agriculture & livelihoods, natural resources governance and refugees and displaced people related issues. Having completed the MDP, he plans to work as a field practitioner for either government or non-government International development organizations, or research institutes.
