My work follows two broad lines of research:
(1) I am interested in place stickiness of economic spatial configurations. My current work focuses on the integration of an entreprneurial ecosystem in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. Emerging dynamics between investors, legal and institutional support and project developers are made sense of locally (and justified) through a recombination of the city's past economic experiences and expected futures.
(2) I am also interested in human capital subjectivities. My current work specifically focuses on the entrepreneur as both an object of capitalist expansion in entreprenurial ecosystems, and a process of formation. Project developers enter into contact with the entreprneural ecosystem through specific spaces of relation: incubators, accelerators, public events, and universities. It is here where both personal and capital interests begin to align and acquire a distinctively localized logic.
