About Vincent J. Del Casino, Jr.
Professor of Geography and Development; Vice President for Academic Initiatives and Student Success. He is part of the Dialogues in Human Geography and Social and Cultural Geography editorial boards and recently co-edited A Companion to Social Geography (Wiley-Blackwell, 2011) and Derrida and the Future of the Liberal Arts (Bloomsbury, 2013).
Vincent Del Casino is a broadly trained human geographer with interests in social and cultural geography, health geography, geographic thought and history, sexuality studies, HIV/AIDS, and sexual and health politics in Southeast Asia and Long Beach, California. His most recent projects include studies of the relationships between HIV prevention programs and drug use, the politics of 'the body' and biomedicine, and the interconnections between transportation, mobility, and homelessness.
