PhD Student Tai Koester Moves Forward in PhD Program with Outstanding Comprehensive Exams

Congratulations to Tai Koester, who passed his comprehensive exams with flying colors! His research focuses on the political ecology of critical minerals extraction in the western states, particularly focused on uranium in Utah. His PhD committee comprised of Mark Kear (SGDE), Jeffrey Banister (SGDE), Stefanie Graeter from Latin American Studies/Anthropology, and Andrew Curley (SGDE). Tai is also a Carson Scholar and had his first solo-authored article published this year in EPD: Society and Space. Congratulations, Tai!
