I am a first-year PhD student in Geography at the University of Arizona. My research interests are heavily informed by my growing up in the suburban expanse of central Arizona: hydrosocial systems in an advanced capitalist society, land use and development, data centers, food systems and more. I am also a working journalist, mostly writing about water and water politics, and I seek to integrate reportage and narrative non-fiction with social science methods and theory in order to deconstruct human-environmental systems.
