Induja Kumar
M.A. Student
Induja Kumar is an MA Student in the School of Geography, Development and Environment. Induja graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with degrees in Climate Studies and Political Science and was awarded the Udall Scholarship and Fulbright Hays Group Project Abroad during her time in undergrad. Her graduate research focuses on labor reorganization in Arizona's semiconductor industry in response to emerging industrial reshoring regimes.
For her graduate work thus far, she has been awarded the American Association of Geographers' Economic Geography Specialty Group Fieldwork Award, the Graduate and Professional Student Council's Research and Project Grant, the Social and Behavioral Sciences Pre-Doctoral Research Grant, and was named runner-up for the Bonham C. Richardson Award for Outstanding Research in Human Geography. She currently serves as the Graduate Student Representative on the American Association of Geographers' Economic Geography Specialty Group and as Graduate Teaching Assistant for the University of Arizona's School Garden Workshop.
