I am a human geographer pursuing an MA in Geography at the University of Arizona. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Geography with Honors from the University of Washington in 2021, where I completed an Honors research project on the City of Seattle's housing policy during the Covid-19 pandemic. I spent the following three years as a GIS Analyst for Puget Sound Energy, the local gas and electric utility in western Washington State.
I'm interested in the intersection of culture, economics, and politics as it relates to migration and cultural exchange, how places change over time, and how governments, private interests, and people groups shape such changes. These interests broadly fall within traditions of economic geography, political economy, and migration theory and have been shaped by both my professional and academic experiences. I've also volunteered with migrant support organizations like World Relief Washington in helping international migrants adjust to life in the United States.
Outside of school and work I enjoy road and trail running, cycling, and playing guitar. And as any child of the Pacific Northwest, I am always ready and available for a good cup of coffee.
