My research agenda employs community engagement, geospatial data science, remote sensing, and critical geographic inquiry to generate empirical analyses that advance environmental and social justice. My current work focuses on the dual crises of climate change and mass incarceration.
I have a big emphasis on translational research including public-facing GIS tools like the Toxic Prisons Mapping Project and partnerships with legal and legislative stakeholders. My work has been featured in the Marshall Project, Grist, and Reuters.
I will be recruiting for Fall '27. Please contact me to inquire.
