Sergio Avila is a wildlife biologist and conservationist, an immigrant, and a trail runner living in ancestral Tohono O’odham and Pascua Yaqui Lands since 2004. He works as Outdoors Program Coordinator with the Sierra Club, is a member of the City of Tucson’s Commission on Climate, Energy and Sustainability, and a Board member with the Society for Conservation Biology, North America Chapter.
