Talia Anderson and Elena LouderSelected to Attend STEPS Centre Summer School

Jan. 31, 2020

Kudos to Talia Anderson and Elena Louder, who have been invited to attend the ninth and final STEPS Centre Summer School on Pathways to Sustainability at the University of Sussex in May! Both Talia and Elena are amongst just a small group of students selected to attend this prestigious research institute, which this year has a particular focus on inter- and trans-disciplinary methods.

STEPS (Social Technological and Environmental Pathways to Sustainability) is an interdisciplinary research institute that brings together development research, science and technology studies, and concern for social justice. Every year, the STEPS Centre hosts a two-week immersive summer school for PhD and post-doctoral students where participants learn theories and practical approaches to sustainability through workshops, lectures, and interaction with the faculty. They offer 35 spots for around 250 applicants, and typically only accept one to two North American scholars.
