The Institute of the Environment website recently had a lead item featuring the work of many geographers—a special issue on the METRICS OF WATER SECURITY AND ADAPTIVE CAPACITY.  The result of the two-year project is a special issue on Metrics, guest edited by Gregg Garfin, Margaret Wilder, and Robert Merideth, and published online in Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability, comprised of 14 articles by 37 authors in 12 countries.

Congrats to Sarah, Noah, Arica and Carl (as well as SGD alum David Tecklin) on their new article, "Governing the transition to renewable energy: A review of impacts and policy issues in the small hydropower boom" in Energy Policy
 
It is a great article! Also, props to Diana Liverman who helped conceptualize the project and Joe Patton who crafted the awesome figures in the paper!

Congratulations to Niki vonHedemann for her new co-authored article published in Health and Place titled “Managing mosquito spaces: Citizen self-governance of disease vectors in a desert landscape”. Co-authors include our own Mindy Butterworth now at Willamette University, Paul Robbins, Katheryn Landau and Cory Morin!
