Thomas earned his Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Political Science in 2012. During his undergraduate studies, Thomas studied abroad in Scotland, where he studied politics and completed an internship in the Scottish Parliament. Thomas returned to Scotland to continue his education, earning a Master’s Degree in Nationalism Studies from the University of Edinburgh in 2013 while again working in the Scottish Parliament. After completing his Master’s Degree, Thomas returned to Tucson and began working as an Honors Student Success Counselor. Thomas is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Geography part-time at the University of Arizona. His doctoral work focuses on neglected and abandoned urban spaces, with a particular focus on transgression, interim use, and the role of plants in these spaces.
