Welcome to the CLAG 2023 Conference in Tucson!

WHAT: The next conference of the Conference of Latin American Geography (CLAG) will be held January 3-7, 2023. The format will be hybrid with both in-person and remote/virtual sessions.

WHERE: University of Arizona Environment & Natural Resources 2 Building (1064 E Lowell Street) in Tucson, Arizona, USA

Call for Organized Sessions 

The Program Committee for the 2023 CLAG meeting in Tucson, Arizona is pleased to announce the 1st Call for Sessions and Panel Proposals for anyone wishing to organize a session on a specific topic or with a selected group of (invited) speakers.  All presenters need to be CLAG members.  The deadline for requesting an Organized Session or Panel is September 15, 2022.

Registration

Registration will open up end of August.  Note: We expect participants to be a member of CLAG (cost is only $70, $20 for students who are then eligible for grants and awards) but have provided a non-member rate.  A discount is offered to those in the 'Global South' who are currently based in institutions or are independent scholars in Latin America or the Caribbean.

In person attendance (includes refreshments, lunches, etc. Conference banquet is additional cost)

Early Registration Deadline: October 15, 2022

CLAG members: $175 ($50 discount for those based in 'Global South') 
CLAG member Students: $100 ($50 discount for those based in 'Global South')

Non CLAG members or guests of participants who wish to attend conference: $200

Banquet/Conference dinner: $50

Late Registration Deadline: November 15, 2022

CLAG members: $200 ($50 discount for those based in 'Global South') 
CLAG member students: $115 ($50 discount for those based in 'Global South') 

Non CLAG members or guests of participants who wish to attend conference: $225 

Banquet/Conference dinner: $50

Remote participation (for virtual presentations and access to live stream of most conference sessions)
