2026 Photo Competition

THEME: PEOPLE/LANDSCAPES

Deadline for submissions: Friday, January 30th, 2026

First Prize: $200

Second Prize: $150

Third Prize: $100

Description: Within SGDE we study landscapes, people, and how they shape one another in physical, cultural, socio-economic, or ecological ways. Think about the theme broadly and submit any photo (300+ dpi resolution) that captures some aspect of the relationships between people & landscape whether it be from our campus community or from a far corner of the world. There are three broad categories to help guide you: (i) the socio-cultural landscape, (ii) landscapes of human-environment interactions, and (iii) the urban environment.

** Winners will be announced by February 13th and celebrated at the SGDE Award Ceremony in May**
