University of North Texas geographer, Matt Fry, recently spoke to the UA School of Geography and Development about his ongoing work on fracking. Hydrolic fracking has been the subject of news headlines in recent years as people debate the environmental impacts versus the financial benefits of this oil drilling technique. Fry’s work adds another perspective to the discussion, how decisions are made about siting fracking wells near homes. Fry’s talk titled "Energy governance, urban extraction, and new geographies of fracking" is now available for public viewing at the School of Geography and Development Google+ page.
