One of the first residents of the new ENR2 Building - SGD's new residence - was a mother hummingbird who set up a few at the end of a data cable. On July 24, she hatched two chicks. You can check out the hummingbird family at the live webcam on the Planning, Design, and Construction website: It's great to be sharing our new space with the local fauna.

The School of Geography & Development has officially moved to the new ENR2 building. We said farewell to the Harvill Building yesterday and have taken up residence on the south side of the 4th floor of the ENR2 Building.

SGD PhD student Eric Magrane recently led a summer class, "The American Landscape Field Course", during summer presession, which took students on a 10-day tour of Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and California. The course was intended to get students out of the classroom to interact more with their environment. Congratulations to recent SGD PhD graduate Sunčana Laketa, who after having recently defended her dissertation in April, has landed a postdoctoral research position in the Department of Geography at the University of Zurich, starting this August.
